Having a book beside my bed each night is sometimes the only way I’m getting through the onset of panic and falling asleep. Think of them as “pages of reassurance”.
NOTE: When you click on each book, it will direct you to their Amazon page where there are different options for paperback, kindle versions, etc.
This is my FAVORITE! Written by a mom, a Christian woman, this book gives me the reassurance I need to keep going, to keep praying but feel comfort in handing my son over to God to work things out.
This book is the most informative. I keep it around me and flip to certain pages when that specific incident is happening. Like I said before, reassurance!
This book is just a must for ANYone who loves an addict. I skip to the pages about addict children because situations are different depending on who your addict is. But the sentiment behind Alcoholism, the steps, the loved ones also taking it one day at a time… all still very meaningful to all of us.
This is the first book I ordered and read. It got me through some really tough nights. Written by a dad who knows too well what it feels like when the phone rings.
This book helped me to understand my son and what he’s going through better. This is important for us to lay down the “anger” and try an empathetic , yet firm approach.
This is a book I’ve had for several years. It helped me even before all of this started, or came to light I and it’s in this list because I just love this book!
